Mr. Kunsang Chhophel

Founder and Board Member of HFC

Kunsang Chhophel the founding member of HFC Board. He is currently overseeing DES ministry. He has been enthusiastically involved in translation work. He was a part of Wycliffe Bible Translation and has translated the Old and New Testament into Tsangla language. He is settled in Dalsingpara, West Bengal. He is married and have 3 children. He loves dogs and is in a business of breeding them.

Mr. Vikash Sharma

Board Member

Vikash was the former Executive Director of HFC.Born and brought up in Guwahati, Assam. He is currently serving as Community Counselor and a Program/Clinic Founder partner at Prarthana Clinic where he is counseling families and individuals who come to consult different medical specialist and for other services provided by the clinic.

Dr. Asangla Ao

President

Dr. Asangla earned a MBBS degree from Assam Medical College, Dibrugarh in 1987, Master of Divinity from Beeson Divinity School, Birmingham, USA in 2001 and Masters in Counseling from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, IL, USA in 2005. She practiced as a Medical Doctor in Government and Mission hospitals. She also served as the Zonal Secretary of Union of Evangelical Students of Northeast India. She is a full time Counsellor and a trainer.

Mr. Siamliana Khiangte

Secretary of HFC

Mr. Siamliana Khiangte is the Secretary of Himalayan For Christ and is also serving as Program Assistant in Council of Baptist Churches in North East India (CBCNEI). He completed his B.Sc. from Shillong College and then pursued Diploma in Computer Education from National Institute of Information Technology (NIIT), Shillong, Meghalaya. After completion he was absorbed in the Institute for 4 years as a faculty and then was promoted to Senior faculty of NIIT Chandmari, Guwahati and then Centre in-charge of NIIT Shillong, Meghalaya. He then resigned and joined Rev. Dr A. K. Lama and served as an Associate in TLA Ministries for five years. He is married to LumthainaLongmei and is blessed with a son Edward Remliana Khiangte.

Rev. Dr. A. K Lama

Treasurer of HFC

Rev. Dr. A. K. Lama is the Director of South Asia Ministries of Words of Hope and the Executive Director of Transforming Leaders in Asia (TLA), AL. He is also the former honorary Chairman of the Baptist World Alliance Commission on Ministry and the Pro-chancellor of the North East Christian University.He earned B.VSc. & A. H. from Pusa University in 1984. Later he also earned Master of Divinity in 1996, a Doctor of Ministry in 2002 from Samford University (Birmingham, AL), and Doctor of Philosophy in the Old testament from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (Deerfield, IL) in 2007.
