Mr. Kunsang Chhophel
Founder and President of HFC
Kunsang Chhophel is one of the key figures in HFC, serving as its founding member and current President. Along with Mr. Vikash Sharma (a co-founder), he was instrumental in maneuvering HFC, especially through the initial years.
Currently he is residing in Siliguri, West Bengal, with his wife and three children. Aside from his professional commitments, he also runs a successful business of breeding and training dogs.

Mr. Siamliana Khiangte

Secretary of HFC

Mr. Siamliana Khiangte is currently serving as the Secretary of HFC and also holds the position of Program Assistant in the Council of Baptist Churches in North East India (CBCNEI). His educational background includes a B.Sc. degree from Shillong College, followed by a Diploma in Computer Education from the National Institute of Information Technology (NIIT) in Shillong, Meghalaya.
After completing his education, Mr. Siamliana Khiangte joined NIIT and worked as a faculty member for four years. He was then promoted to Senior Faculty at NIIT Chandmari, Guwahati, and later became the Centre In-charge of NIIT in Shillong, Meghalaya. Following this period, he resigned from NIIT and joined Rev. Dr. A. K. Lama, serving as an Associate in TLA Ministries for five years.
Mr. Siamliana Khiangte is married to Lumthaina Longmei, and they are blessed with a son named Edward Remliana Khiangte.

Mr. Vikash Sharma

Vikash was the former Executive Director of HFC.Born and brought up in Guwahati, Assam. He is currently serving as Community Counselor and a Program/Clinic Founder partner at Prarthana Clinic where he is counseling families and individuals who come to consult different medical specialist and for other services provided by the clinic.

Dr. Asangla Ao

Dr. Asangla's educational background is diverse and extensive. She obtained her MBBS degree from Assam Medical College, Dibrugarh, in 1987. Following this, she pursued further studies in the United States, earning a Master of Divinity from Beeson Divinity School, Birmingham, in 2001. Later, in 2005, she achieved a Masters in Counseling from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, IL, USA, emphasizing her interest in mental health and counseling. Dr. Asangla's professional journey includes practicing as a Medical Doctor in both Government and Mission hospitals. Additionally, she served as the Zonal Secretary of the Union of Evangelical Students of Northeast India. Currently, Dr. Asangla is a full-time Counselor and Trainer, reflecting her expertise in counseling and her commitment to helping others.

Dr. A. K Lama

Rev. Dr. A. K. Lama holds prominent roles in various organizations. Currently serving as the Director of South Asia Ministries of Words of Hope and the Executive Director of Transforming Leaders in Asia (TLA), AL, he plays key leadership roles in these entities. Dr. Lama has also held the honorary position of Chairman of the Baptist World Alliance Commission on Ministry and serves as the Pro-chancellor of the North East Christian University.
His educational journey is noteworthy, starting with a B.VSc. & A.H. degree from Pusa University in 1984. Dr. Lama expanded his academic pursuits, earning a Master of Divinity in 1996, a Doctor of Ministry in 2002 from Samford University (Birmingham, AL), and a Doctor of Philosophy in the Old Testament from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (Deerfield, IL) in 2007.
Dr. A. K. Lama's involvement in various leadership positions and his extensive education underscore his talented expertise. His leadership roles coupled with his educational achievements, portray him as a well-rounded individual with a significant impact on both the religious and academic spheres.
